Students at Oasis Academy Mayfield celebrate GCSE results

Students at Oasis Academy Mayfield celebrate GCSE results

The wait is finally over for Year 11 students at Oasis Academy Mayfield, who returned to school today to receive their GCSE results – and it was a morning of celebration, smiles, and new beginnings.

Students have shown resilience, determination, and a commitment to their futures. This is particularly meaningful as they began their Mayfield journey as the nation was coming out of the Covid pandemic. These achievements reflect the way Oasis Academy Mayfield supports every part of a young person’s development, not just helping them succeed academically, but also building their confidence, character, and life skills.

Students at the academy are offered a wide range of opportunities both in and out of the classroom, and they’re surrounded by staff who know them, believe in them, and work with them to overcome challenges.

Among the high achievers was Erin who secured excellent results and will be going on to study Sport at Itchen Sixth Form College. Erin said: “I feel great! I’m extremely proud and excited to study sport from September.”

Rosina also performed brilliantly. Rosina said: “It’s a wonderful feeling. As a Senior Prefect, I’m really pleased for everyone who did well.”

Claire Taylor, Principal at Oasis Academy Mayfield, said: “We’re very proud of our students today. Their results reflect the hard work and determination they have given to their studies over the past five years. Special thanks to our staff and the parents and families who have given their unwavering support throughout. We wish our students all the very best with the next stage of their journey”
