We are proud to announce that Oasis Academy Mayfield has been awarded the Southampton Reading Charter Bronze Award, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to fostering a love of reading across the entire community.
Students and staff were thrilled to attend the Southampton Reading Charter celebration event at the iconic St Mary’s Stadium, where they received the award from acclaimed author Onjali Q. Raúf. The day was made even more special by an exclusive reading from Raúf’s brand new book, captivating the audience and inspiring young readers.
The event was a celebration of Mayfield’s whole school dedication to reading, and the excitement was palpable as students left the stadium buzzing with enthusiasm and eager to begin their journey toward the Silver Award.
