Identity & RSE at Mayfield
Personal Development is a key part of the curriculum at Mayfield. Students will cover the 4 core concepts: Love and Relationships, Citizenship, Self-care and CEIAG and Employability. We believe that this will enable students to flourish and support them in developing their character and understanding, equip them with knowledge to support their physical and mental wellbeing and with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions that will lead to fulfilling lives and careers.
9 Habits
The Oasis Ethos is at the heart of all teaching of PSHE including relationships and sexual health.
To help us in this process of personal growth and development we have the Oasis 9 Habits. It is our bespoke and unique approach to character development. We know that by living the way of the Habits, the Oasis Ethos will become second nature to us. These 9 Oasis Habits are:
- Compassionate
- Considerate
- Forgiving
- Honest
- Hopeful
- Humble
- Joyful
- Patient
- Self-controlled
