Oasis Academy Mayfield is part of the Government's programme to provide up to 400 Academies in England and Wales over the next few years.

Oasis Academy Mayfield opened in September 2008, replacing Grove Park Business and Enterprise College and Woolston School Language College, which both closed in August 2008. Oasis Academy Mayfield is using the existing buildings of the two sites and will transfer across to a purpose built and iconic new building on the Grove Park site during the academic year beginning September 2011.
